Day 1Arrival in Ulaanbaatar and city tour

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar the capital city of Mongolia. Our guide and driver will greet you at the airport. Transfer to your hotel. Depends on time of your arrival, taken on city sightseeing tour including a visit the Gandantegchilen Monastery or “Great Place of Complete Joy”.It features a 26.5-meter-high statue of Avalokiteśvara.
Then our tour takes you to the Chinggis Khan monument on the Sukhbaatar square which is heart of the city, and visit the Museum of National History. In the evening, you will enjoy a Mongolian Folk Music and Dance Performance. Then welcome lunch in a Mongolian restaurant.

Day 2Ulaanbaatar – Enkhee’s Winter Camp

n this morning, after breakfast we drive to the east, where we will start our snowshoes trek in the deep of Khenti region. We will pass through the small town Baganuur, then after lunch we will hike in the steppes in the direction of the frozen Kherlen River. Along the way you will see Terelj National Park, a beautiful area of rocks and forested hills. Also, you will get your first glimpse of the traditional nomadic lifestyle of Mongolian herdsmen with their yaks, sheep and horses.
In the late evening arrival at the family. Upon arrival at Enkhees’s winter camp, they will begin to prepare and offer you with hot nomadic dinner and traditional Mongolian milky tea.

Day 3Enkhee’s Winter Camp – Lake Khökh

After breakfast where included Mongolian hot milk tea, hand-made bread, dairy products the 14 km snowshoes trekking excursion along the Yudeg river to reach lake Khökhwill begin.
After lunch we will continue our trek and finally, in the evening we arrive at the desired goal and visiting the monument dedicated to the Mongolian Khans,which were ruled the Mongolian Empire during 400 years. settle in a guest ger located on the shore of the lake.

Day 4 Lake Khökh – Valley of Yumt

Today, we have two choices of treks. First, someone follows the valleys Yumt, and the othersgoingup the mountain to get the maximum physical effort. Arrive late afternoon and settle in a guest ger conveniently located on the shore of the lake.

Day 5Valley of Yumt – Shurguit

This day today we are going up on the mountain. Distance: 3 km, elevation gain: 130 meters. Then, goes down gently over the next 8 km along a wooded step sided valley. Late afternoon return to the host family.

Day 6Shurguit – Bayangol

11 km /Distance: 3 km, elevation gain: 130 meters. Distance: 3 km, elevation loss: 300meters/

BaldanBereeven Monastery is a Gelugpa(Yellow Hat) Buddhist monastery located in the BaruunJargalant River valley of Ömnödelger sum. First established in 1654, the monastery grew to be one of the largest and most important in Mongolia at its height in the mid 19th century, housing up to 8000 monks.The monastery and temple complex were destroyed by Mongolia’s communist regime in 1937.

Day 12Sharganu – Deer Stones – Sharganu

In this morning, after breakfast we will continue our trek in the heart of Khentii province. On the way,you will find megaliths bearing mysterious carvings that seems to depict flying reindeer.Known as deer stones, these upright stone slabs measure 3 to 15 feet tall and occur in small groups, or concentrated in larger groupings, often in association with stone burial mounds, called khirigsuur. There are over 700 deer stones in Central Asia and South Siberia, of which 500 are in Mongolia alone. These monumental features is believed to be erected by Bronze Age nomads, approximately 3000 years ago.

Day 13 Sharganu – Ulaanbaatar

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. You will have an opportunity to shop at cashmere and souvenir shops.Farewell dinner with your interpreter and driver in a Mongolian restaurant.
