The Altai Mountain Range is located in one of the most beautiful, pristine and remote parts of the country, stretching across the very center of Central Asia between China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan and Russia, and standing at the junction of several natural zones and cultures.

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar the capital city of Mongolia. Our driver and guide will help you transfer to your hotel. The city tour of Ulaanbaatar takes you through some of the principal sights of this unique city. You visit the Gandan Monastery. Your tour also takes you to the Chinggis Khan monument on the Chinggis Khan square and the Museum of National History. In the evening, you will enjoy a Mongolian folk Music and Dance Performance. Then welcome lunch in a Mongolian restaurant.
Early morning after breakfast in the hotel flight from Ulaanbaatar to Bayan – Olgii. We will meet with our driver and guide local and from the airport drive to Olgii. Visit Olgii city, which is capital of Bayan – Olgii.
Today drive to the northwest, along the White River Valley, to reach the National Park of Altai Tavan Bogd.Finally, we arriving to mountain Shiveet Khairkhan, which is a sacred mountain where the Tuvans worship. Setting up your campsite near White River. From here our trekking trip will be started.
This morning enjoying fresh mountain air, smell grass and have your first breakfast in the wilderness.Then we go to climbing. It takes 3-4 hours. The climbing depends from the weather of the day. When it is clear then we can see a great panoramic view of Altai Tavan Bogd mountain range to the west, and the sacred, snow covered mountain Tsambagarav to the est. Then back to nomad camp, where waiting us pack camels.
Hike to base camp. In here we will use camel support for our camping gears and foods. By walking from the trails you will feel wind of Mongolia, smell of aroma, the silence and pristine nature of Altai Mountains. In the afternoon arriving to base camp. We will set up camp at 2900 m, near the Potanin Glacier, it’s long about 20 km.
Today we getting up early morning. After good breakfast we start slowly walking around the place then start climbing to Malchin Peak. It takes 6 to 7 hours to climb to the top. Most of the climb will be on rock, but it’s not a technical climbing and special equipment no needed. You can easily be on the top. At 4037 m you’ll have the best view of the whole Altai Tavan Bogd national park and the longest Potanin glacier, also panorama of Russia’s landscape to the north. Return to the base camp.
Today we living our base camp and take 3 days to cross Altai Mountain Range.The differences in elevation are significant; the highest pass we will take, is at 3600 m altitude. On the way we will stop for watching numerous of petroglyphs from the Bronze and Turkic ages. Also, you will have a chance to taste milk products such as: local yak cheese, milk vodka which is distilled from yak milk, and others.On the 3rd day we reach the Bear Valley. This valley offers you unspoiled natural beauty and unique opportunity to see wild animals such as: ibex, Argali sheep, red deer, snow leopard, bear, altai snow-cock, golden eagle and many others. You’ll enjoy the spectacular scenery of wild nature.
Today our last day of trekking in the beautiful Tsagaan Gol Valley (White River Valley). This place where the 4 season of the weather in one hour, where the mountains are meeting the sky and friendly Tuvan nomads showing you unexpected hospitality. This heaven located in very western part of Mongolia where Russian, Chinese and Mongolian Altai mountains are joining and Mongolian side of the mountains lasting with long Potanin glacier.
Now, time for relaxing. Near the Chinese border that sets on the crests of the snow-capped chain, two big lakes, Khoton Nuur and Khurgan Nuur, are located in the great volcanic landscape. In summer, many nomadic families with their herd set their camps on the banks of two lakes.During our trek, we will have the opportunity to visit Kazakh nomads and eagle herders and to enjoy their great hospitality.
Return to Olgi. Dinner and overnight in khazakh ger
Early morning flight to Ulaanbaatar. Arrival in town then installation at your hotel where you will have a little rest. The rest of the day is free. With your guide, you will be able to go shopping in the shops of the city. Farewell dinner with your interpreter and driver in a Mongolian restaurant.
